Chorus Project Form

This project is to fulfill the performance/project requirement of the chorus class, as outlined in the syllabus.

The choices for this project include the following:

I. Performance for the class If you choose this option, see Mr. Yackley if you would like help preparing the solo. Criteria for grading will include stage presence, tone production, rhythm, pitch, diction, and style. You are encouraged to select this option, since you are making up for a performance.

II. Research Paper This may be on any related topic. Some suggested topics are:

Tone Production

Breathing for Singing

Choral Music of the Renaissance

Choral Music of the Baroque Period

Choral Music of the Classical Period

Choral Music of the Romantic Period

Choral Music of the 20th Century

Any major composer of choral music

The paper should be at least four pages long, typed no larger than a 12 point font.

The paper must include at least 3 sources which must be included in a bibliography. You may use no more than one internet source.

III. Any other project of the student's design, with approval in advance from Mr. Yackley.
